Addition & Remodeling

University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point

35,000 Square Feet New

150,000 Square Feet Remodeled

Sustainable Design and Energy Conservation Features

With an expanded entry and completely new front facade, the Dreyfus University Center addition & remodeling project provides a significant presence to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Campus. The project’s objective was to add additional space and services to the original 1958 building along with three additions constructed over the past 48 years. The program also called for improved student “way-finding” throughout the facility.

Upgraded spaces within the facility include banquet/multi-purpose rooms, new dining and kitchen food service spaces, a bookstore, a 200 seat theatre, meeting rooms, and administrative offices. The two-story addition includes an entry concourse with retail spaces and booths for student organizations along each side of the space. Inefficient and outdated HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems have been replaced throughout.

Sustainable design and energy conservation features were also included in the $24 million expansion and remodeling project.
