McPhee Physical Education Center

Infrastructure Maintenance

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire

100,000 Square Foot Remodeling

1,200 Square Foot Expansion

Construction completed January 2009

This project revitalized the existing University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire McPhee Physical Education Building. The remodeling work primarily focused on the original McPhee building with some minor mechanical and electrical work in the Ade Olson addition. The project renovated/replaced the building systems infrastructure (mechanical, electrical, plumbing/fire protection, telecommunications), and it brought ADA and life saving systems up to code. The renovation provides more energy efficient systems and updated architectural finishes in classrooms and hallways.

The project includes new athletic flooring and new operable partitions in the gymnasium, new equipment in the gymnasium and gymnastics areas, new restroom facilities, and pool upgrades.
