Elementary School
Arbor Vitae, Wisconsin |
128,000 Square Feet |
The Arbor Vitae-Woodruff Elementary School is located on a 38-acre wooded site in the Town of Arbor Vitae and within the Lakeland Union High School District. The 128,000 square foot five-section elementary school is designed to house 960 pre-k to eighth grade students.
Due to the size of the facility, special attention was given to the interior design to assist students with way-finding and orientation within the building. This was accomplished primarily through the introduction of unique color schemes for each grade-level section of the facility.
The school has fiber optic cabling to each classroom and computer outlets for all students. Third grade classrooms have specialized cabinets for storing and recharging laptop computers, which are available to students for use in school or at home.
