Junior/Senior High School
Clear Lake, Wisconsin |
67,000 Square Feet |
Although Clear Lake School District's 91,000 square foot school facility houses both junior and senior high students, the facility was designed to separate the two populations. The six-classroom wing for the junior high has its own commons and restrooms, and separate access to the IMC/computer technology, art, and music areas.
The junior and senior science rooms are contiguous, which allows for the sharing of prep rooms and chemical storage areas.
A competition gymnasium with a 1,200-person capacity can be accessed by students and the public while the rest of the school is closed off for security. The music and IMC/computer technology areas can also be accessed after hours.
"Every project looked great immediately upon completion. Eleven years after the building completion, visitors still think it is a brand new building. It is efficient without being flashy so it has served the students and community very well."
Mark Heyerdahl, District Administrator
