Hudson Middle School Pool Addition

Pool Addition

Hudson, Wisconsin

23,000 Square Feet

The vision of the School District of Hudson was to create a competition pool capable of hosting large swimming events. In addition, the facility would be used for physical education and instructional swimming purposes for the school and the community.

The 23,000 square foot addition contains an eight-lane pool with separate diving and instructional areas and a 320 observation balcony for spectators. In addition, a newly expanded cafeteria provides a view into the pool for overflow seating during competitive swimming events.

The pool area was designed with direct access to accommodate community usage outside of regular school hours. Other areas of the addition include boys' and girls' locker rooms, family-change locker rooms, pool office, pool storage, and pool equipment.
