Bethany Lutheran Church Addition & Remodeling

Addition & Remodeling

Rice Lake, Wisconsin

14,000 Square Feet

The Bethany Lutheran Church congregation identified a need to expand their facility to include additional Sunday school classrooms and a multi-purpose space that could be utilized as a supplemental worship space. This vision was achieved with a 14,000 square foot addition and the remodeling of 4,000 square feet of the existing historical church.

The design intent was to create an addition that matched the existing structure while creating a distinct entry off the new parking lot. The church acquired adjacent property over the years and this project included the demolition of an adjacent building. The result was a new handicap accessible covered entry adjacent to a new, expanded parking lot.

The project also included the relocation and remodeling of the church office. In addition, the steam heat boiler system was completely replaced with a new hot water system. Remodeling of the existing church included refurbishing the fellowship hall.
